News Release: The annual Panola Volleyball Camp kicked off Monday with approximately 95 participants. “It is exciting that we continue to grow. We strive every year to put on an excellent camp so all the kids interested in volleyball in our community will get something out of it, whether they are 8 or 18,” says Head Coach Amber McCray.
Our community has been great support of our volleyball program, and it plays an important part in our effort to remain one of the top programs in the country,” noted Vice President of Student Services/Athletic Director Don Clinton.
With over 90 participants this year’s camp has exceeded all attendance expectations especially with the construction on the Panola College campus. Next year space will not be a problem. Panola College expects to move into its new Charles C. Mathews Foundation Student Center this fall. The Mathews Student Center will include a new fitness gym and renovated AJ Gym that will house 4 volleyball courts and give the program an opportunity to continue growing camps.
