Carthage teacher turns self in to authorities

The following was released by Carthage Independent School District on Monday afternoon, May 11:

“On the morning of May 11, 2017, Josh Ross, 36, a Carthage High School teacher turned himself in to the Panola County Sheriff’s office. He was arrested for an inappropriate relationship with a 19-year-old Carthage High School student. The incidents did not occur during school or on school property. Mr. Ross has been suspended at this time. Any additional information will be provided by the Panola County Sheriff’s Office.”
