Deberry Murder Suspects Arrested

UPDATE, 2:30pm Wednesday, Sept. 20:

A fourth suspect has been obtained by the U.S. Marshall’s Service Fugitive Task Force and Louisiana authorities. Cordarius D. Thompson, 17, of Bossier City, La. was captured on Wednesday and has been charged with two counts of murder following an investigation by the Texas Rangers and Panola County Sheriff’s Department.


Original post, Tuesday, Sept. 19:

Three people have been arrested and a fourth person is been sought in relation to the July 28, 2017 shooting deaths of Shayla Carson and Dalton Berry.

Marlon L. Kelly, 21, of Bossier City, La., and Mose Dandrew Smith, 20, of Bossier City have been taken into custody by Louisiana authorities. Cartrell Williamson, 21, of Bossier City surrendered to Panola County Sheriff Investigators on Tuesday morning

Panola County Criminal District Attorney Danny Buck Davidson said investigators are seeking a fourth suspect and an arrest is expected soon. Davidson’s office has issued arrest warrants for all four individuals, charging each with two counts of murder.

The investigation is still ongoing by the Texas Rangers and Panola County Sheriff’s Office.
